Rachel

Owner & Lead Instructor

Rachel is the passionate founder of Resolve Pilates — a brand born from her personal practice and built on the pillars of purpose and determination.

A Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, Rachel brings over twenty years of teaching experience to every session, evolving through continued education year after year. Since making the move from Australia to Chicago in 2009, she has grown into a recognized leader in the city's fitness community — bringing a fresh perspective and an infectious enthusiasm that her clients have come to love.

Rachel created Resolve Pilates with a clear vision: a private studio offering personalized instruction where every client receives the focused attention and tailored guidance they need to truly reach their goals. Rachel sees Pilates as a whole-person practice — one that builds not just a stronger body, but greater confidence and resilience, mentally and physically.

In the Fall of 2023, Resolve expanded with an exciting new concept: Pilates with Friends — bringing the magic of personalized Pilates into a shared, social experience.

Whether you're brand new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner, Rachel's door is open. She warmly invites everyone to become part of the Resolve Pilates community and start their own journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

And if you're ever in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, keep an eye out — you just might spot her on a leisurely stroll with her Aussie shepherd. 🐾

abigail

Studio Manager & Lead Instructor

Abigail grew up a mountain girl in Ouray, Colorado before making the bold move to Chicago at 19 to pursue her professional dance career. During that career, she was mentored by Claire Bataille, a founding member of Hubbard Street Dance and Romana trained instructor, and went on to complete her 500-hour comprehensive Pilates certification through The Lab.

With that foundation of artistry and rigorous training, she brings a uniquely somatic informed perspective to every session.

What sets Abigail apart is the breadth of people she's had the privilege of working with. Her experience spans an impressive range — from athletes and dancers to clients navigating cancer treatment, scoliosis, osteoporosis, chronic low back pain, and hip or knee replacement, as well as prenatal and postpartum clients and everyone from teens to clients in their 80s. No matter where someone is starting from, Abigail meets them there. At the heart of her teaching is a genuine belief in Pilates as a lifelong practice. She's passionate about helping people of all backgrounds build health longevity through postural awareness, enhanced breathing patterns, and a stronger core connection. Abigail originally joined Resolve as an instructor in the first private studio and teaches on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
